Dubbed as “the cocktail party of the year in King” this gala is the Food Bank’s linchpin fundraiser. The King Township Food Bank, operating entirely on volunteer efforts for almost two decades, has seen a rise in demand by over 50% this year. With these funds, we’ll continue our mission, supplying over 500 individuals monthly with non-perishable groceries, fresh produce, food cards, and more, ensuring no one in the community goes hungry.

In 2023, it adeptly distributed supplies across multiple centers, ensuring every child starts the year equipped and ready. Yesterday, at our AGM, we bid a happy retirement to Carol Ann Trabert, our beloved president and a founding member of the King Township Food Bank. From humble beginnings, Carol Ann successfully navigated challenges, forged invaluable community relationships, and with the unwavering support of dedicated volunteers over the years, helped build our food bank into the supportive charity it is today. Her adept leadership steered us through periods of growth and uncertainties, always prioritizing the needs of those we serve.
We also excitedly welcomed Geoff Simpson as our new president. As Geoff transitions into his new role, we are grateful for Carol Ann's enduring spirit of selflessness and service she championed during her tenure and the foundation she has laid for our continued success. Together, we look forward to building upon Carol Ann's legacy of making an impact in our community. #loveandgratitude #CommunityLeadership #happyretirement ... See MoreSee Less
